Photolyfe: Jesse Little

A Gold Coast lensman held in high regards.

Welcome to PhotoLyfe, in which Stab’s favourite photographers answer questions about themselves with their own images. It’s that old picture-tells-a-thousand-words chestnut but with more colour and pop. It’s a way to cut out all the bullshit. It’s like jacking into the main vein of those who supply us with exquisite surf imagery every day. Give thanks by studying each image with a more careful eye than ever!

Jesse Little is the lens operator behind the fine pixel arrangements we have here for you today. Only recently has his work infiltrated the inboxes at Stab. You see, the 25 year-old won our #stabfullframe x @oneillusa monthly competition earlier in the year with this sacred Kirra moment, and since then has delivered thrilling dispatches from his Gold Coast area of operation, with scenes featuring the likes of Asher Pacey and Kelly Slater. We thought having him along for a Photolyfe episode might help us all get a little further acquainted, and provide some pleasant viewing in addition.

“I was born here on the Gold Coast but moved to South Australia with my parents when I was young,” he tells Stab. “That was where I started to get into photography; going away with mates for surf missions and mucking around taking photos. I decided that I was going to get away from the cold one winter. So I packed my boards and camera gear in my car and drove over to the Gold Coast. I planned on only staying for three months… but that three months has turned into three years and counting.”
