Meet The 2019 Billabong Squad

The Billabong Team is amongst the very cream of the crop, as far as legacy lineups go. Since the Green Iguana days of Occy and the Eighties heavies, a Bong sticker gracing on the tip is a stamp of very serious approval. 

Each winter at their Off The Wall abode, Billabong founder Gordon Merchant hosts a BBQ, gathering two dozen or so of the world’s best surfers spanning four generations in one place—”from the up and coming Bloodlines groms, the womens team, current CT guys, to icons like Occy, Shane Dorian, and of course, Parko.” Each year, Merchant offers a few pearls of hard-earned wisdom to the team, gathered around him in a circle show-and-tell style, this year telling stories “around the life lessons of mindset, the importance of not sweating the small stuff, and gratitude.”
