Novatos: Yago Dora Is The Most Naturally Gifted Rookie In 2018
It’s just a fact!
While his dad was busy barking orders at soon-to-be superstar Adriano de Souza, Yago Dora was running around the beach, kicking a soccer ball, generally ignoring the action in the ocean. Though the surfing bug didn’t hit Yago until a little later in life, he was quick to pick up the movements of the sport, and with the help of his legendary surf coach pop, the Brazilian burst onto the scene as one of surfing’s hot new talents.
Soon he was sponsored by Volcom, landing magazine covers, and securing the final section of his sponsor’s 2015 hit, Psychic Migrations.
But Yago was, in the eyes of the surfing world, just another Uber-talented freesurfer.
Eventually he decided he wanted more than mag covers and ender sections. Yago wanted to prove that he could rub elbows with the world’s best, and maybe even leave a dent. So he put his head down, slugged it out in the QS and qualified at the green age of 21.
Yago Dora would have to be the most naturally talented surfer of the 2018 rookie bunch. We’re elated to see what he can achieve on the CT.
