Parties, Premieres, Board Deals And Plenty Of (Free) Chilled Refreshments
Join Stab and Misfit at our joint Bondi digs this Thursday.
If surfboards had a genetic structure, you could say that Misfit’s innovative outlines are the mutations surfing needs to evolve to a higher species!
With wild hips, channels and bloated silhouettes, their range of craft, backed by Otis Carey, Asher Wales, Jake Vincent and talented sis, Jaleesa, can at first seem foreign and frightening to some, however there is method to the madness, just ask shaper Dave Howell, or watch one of the team demonstrate on a Sri Lankan pointbreak – both of which you can do this Thursday night over a handful of refreshments in the heart of Sydney’s eastern subs.
You might’ve heard that the Misfit clan have moved in downstairs from Stab’s Bondi Beach HQ? Well, our new flatmates – the socialites that they are – have been itching to put on a house warming at 75 Gould St ever since they signed the lease and now that we’re settled post-Stab High, we’re happy to co-host.
They’re planning on showing off the new store, premiering the entire latest season of their web series ‘LIVES’, shot exclusively in Sri Lanka by film guy, Luka Raubenheimer, as well as hosting an intimate meet and greet with Mr Howell, who’ll be taking custom orders (discount alert!) and explaining the ins and outs of the eccentric designs he’s come up with.
Stab scribe, Jake Embrey labelled our Sydney home ‘burb a “revolving door of souvenir stores, poorly considered ventures, and everlasting fast-food conglomerates,” which is a harsh but true depiction, either way, right now MISFIT and Stab are occupying a shared residence and one must always strive to celebrate good times (come on) which is exactly what we’re gonna do this Thursday.
Dave will be in store after 3pm, so be sure to check in early if you’re interested in catching him or the rest of the team before they’re swamped. Oh, and look out for the Diamond Dancer III, the Stab favourite hanging on the wall to the left as you walk inside.
According to their comms, if you order, or purchase a stock board on the day, you’ll receive $100 OFF RRP + a $100 apparel pack.
