In the purple prose of today, it’s easy to get lost in the hyperbole. Words like “biggest” and “best” drift into headlines, drive traffic and lose their top-tier intention. There’s always going to be another best heat ever, biggest wave ever — the greatest ever… The swell that hit Australia’s South Coast last week’s been labeled the “swell of the decade” — it sent madmen to hospital on the east coast at the Cape Fear event — however in comparison to what swings through West Oz on a yearly basis, it was pretty run-of-the-mill.
