Art Is Anything You Can Get Away With

Friday night in Coolangatta: Billabong, surf company in existence since 1973, hosts party to celebrate latest collection, a collaborative effort with the estate of Andy Warhol, the pop art master whose fascination with surfing led to him shooting a film around the surf lifestyle. The clothes are excellent, and worthy of celebration, and on Friday that’s just what took place. Driven by Bati Rum and Corona, Skegss lit up the airwaves, while pro surfers mingled with non-pro surfers and things descended into a beautiful mess, as they do on such evenings. I’m thirsty!
