O’Neill is one of those surf companies that has such a rich heritage (surfing’s first wetsuits?) that it can curate an art or photography exhibition that you’d actually wanna go to. The 60 Years Of Innovation Art Tour was a gas, and this year O’Neill have decided to roll with their Lose Yourself Somewhere vibes and curate a collection of photos that really do make you wanna go lose yourself somewhere. It’s a sentiment any surfer digs.
What the idea equates to is 20 handpicked photogs from across Australia, including Eugene Tan, Russell Ord, Andy Hatton, Che Chorley, Mark Clinton and more. Each shooter will show five images that rep what losing yourself somewhere means to them. But, don’t just expect surf porn and empty Indo barrels. This is about escapism of any kind, whether it’s snowcapped mountains, dense forests or urban hideaways. So, expect some diversity, but with a constant of brilliance.
The first stop is Perth, making its way across the Mornington Peninsula, Adelaide and Sydney, with five photogs from each city. Each stop will be open to the public for three days.
