A Campaign We Love: Quiksilver’s Surf Trippin
Back to 80’s, bright colors and light brush strokes! Get amped, cuz here’s the 411: Quiks new threads are bitching. They threw their previous designs in a frothing cauldron and are stirring up something fresh. Taking a break from their previous motif, and focusing on the free-spirit, surf tripping, good ole times. We’ll let you in on a little secret, we dig it. Here’s Mr Dane Reynolds, a suitable ambassador for really anything in the surf world. The man’s spot on to represent Quik’s new sensation. He’s the thread to the needle. These new digs are mixing and matching traditional fabrics, cue retro-style and forward combinations. Take Dane’s sheer power, speed and flow, then slap on a some neon stroked trunks and a winning combination can’t be avoided. Cue to Craig Anderson, the embodiment of free-surfing. Craig’s high-line trims are a thing of pure beauty, the aura of cruisey-ness. Serving as another ambassador for the new decor: the king of going straight, Mr Anderson himself. He’s a mover, a swell chaser and a hair farmer with unparalleled style, the cat’s got game. The new motto for Quik is ‘stay high’ and forever high these surf trippers will stay. Finally, here’s Mr Mikey Wright. Not Owen, not Tyler but Mikey. The free-spirited, mullet rocking, unshaven, tattoo’d man himself. It’s no secret that we here at Stab are quite fond of the youngest Wright. He goes his own way, to an off-kilter beat of a drum. Not electro, more jazz. Not Stan Getz, more Herbie Hancock belting Watermelon Man. Oh, yes! Quik’s kicking in boredom’s door and letting the fun filter back in. Grab some fresh digs, give into High Performance, right here.
