Stab Podcast: The Margaret River Event Was Trivial in the Grand Scheme

That said, a hell of a lot happened.

The Margaret River event was…a lot.

John Florence and Ace Buchan got hurt. Malia Manuel surfed The Box. Tatiana Weston-Webb got her first win in five years.

All of this was completely overshadowed by the tragic passing of Jack Macaulay.

In this Stab CUSP episode, Stace and I discuss all the things that would normally be important—but given the current context, feel totally trivial—about the last CT stop. Please forgive my lack of energy, as our current 10-hour time difference plus the far-reaching impact of Jack’s passing made me utterly exhausted when recording this episode at midnight local time.

The first ten minutes are a mostly somber dissection of life and what really matters. After that, we deep dive into the previous and upcoming events.
