And now, please let Stab introduce you to Mr Mac DeMarco, a British-Columbian who makes the sweetest-ever garage pop. Mac was raised in Edmonton but, thankfully, moved to Vancouver after graduating high school where he was exposed to the kinda culture that only a major world city can offer. These new stimulations led to the creation of music under the name Makeout Videotape, but Mac’s since broken out simply as himself. His list of infectious jams is stacked to the roof, the dreamiest of which Stab now offers you for download, right here. First up is the EP version of Freaking Out The Neighbourhood, followed by five equally blistering demos.
You get Mac’s 2 album here, and the Rock and Roll Nightclub album here, both out through Spunk/Captured Records.
