We can’t really say Jacob Szekely gatecrashed Stab High Virginia Beach.

He earned his invite fair and square as one of the most innovative wavepool surfers of recent years. Or as he would call himself, the ‘King of Waco’.

Upon arriving at Atlantic Park and greeting every single person on the premises, Zeke, who could get a rock talking and probably even get a high five from it, began his day by inspecting teen prodigies’ wax jobs and conducting random check-ups on the skateboarding skills of those in attendance.

“At least the guy who runs Stab can skate,” he said of Mikey C’s toe-dragged kickflip. Sam McIntosh would have landed it clean.

After a comprehensive highlight edit of the practice sessions before the event, Zeke is joined by Hayden Rodgers to discuss the secret yoga routines of the staunchest aerialists. “Who’s the biggest ‘closet stretcher’?” was the question around the grounds.

Head Judge Nathan Fletcher then encouraged Zeke to run his mouth in the commentary booth. “No one wants you to be humble,” he said. “You’re not known for being humble.” Zeke agreed.

With editing kept to a minimum aside from the surfing bits, this one runs pretty long, which, in a way, makes you feel like you’re just tagging along.
