Your Pigdog Ain’t Got Nothing On This Kid’s Pigdog
Seamless technique + excellent waves = mondo tube time.
I love me a good pigdog.
But in truth, holding onto one’s rail when traveling through a backside tube is not especially difficult. What’s difficult is making it look even remotely handsome, as most pigdoggers’ tendency is to hunch over and get their head as low as possible, presumably to avoid decapitation. This is mostly fine in the waist-high tubes that average folk tend to inhabit, but at a divinely carved, necessarily sizable reef like Padang Padang, there’s just no need.
That’s where Kai Hall comes in. Kai is a 13-year-old kid who was born in South Africa but now lives in Bali. As a regular-footer, Kai’s recent exposure to idyllic left-handers has resulted in a backside tube technique that is simply irreproachable. His style is flawless, his helmet is protective, and the results speak for themselves.
One could safely presume that Kai is the most properly barreled 13-year-old in the year of 2020. Are we wrong?
