Your new board: Fred Stubble
Conner Coffin is a power surfer for the new world, but he sure can kick the tail out and get up in the clouds. His new signature Channel Islands board, Fred Stubble, is a little more conducive to that end of town. The wildly-popular Fred Rubble, ridden by Kelly Slater and Dane Reynolds (and that’s all that’s needed), got a little squashed, made a little more stubby, and… Fred Stubble lives. Here’s what Conner says about it: “The Fred Stubble is a slight spin off of the Fred Rubble. An inch or so off of each end, slightly wider outline, and tweaked concave in the bottom created an epic board for the every day beach mission, regardless of the conditions. It’s one of those boards that works in the smallest of waves but is fun up to head high. It’s the board that keeps me in the water every day at home, even when it’s near flat. Super fast, super skatie, yet still carvey. It’s been out for a while through Channel Islands, but we have just gotten around to making a video for it!” And the video, released via Conner’s portal Young Wise Tails, is really, very good. More details on Fred Stubble, here.
