“We’re Gonna Eat Those Bitches Alive!”

The saga of Stephanie Gilmore and Kanoa Igarashi continues. The WSL’s newest episode of “All In” offers up some unfettered access of the two while working their way through the draw in Portugal.

By this time in the tour, both Steph and Kanoa have been knocked out of the world title race, but they do enjoy the opportunity to play spoiler. For Steph, it’s a rare (but frankly, undesired) chance to relax in the year’s final stretch. But you can tell from her tone after losing for the third straight time to a surfer nearly half her age, Steph will never relinquish her inner competitiveness. See the dinner with Steph’s fellow Tour-mates for further proof (“We’re gonna eat those bitches alive!”)

Meanwhile, Kanoa saws through Kelly Slater and Filipe Toledo to mix up the men’s title race. 

Since we’re not going to be going to any surf contests in the near future, and we’re not going to be hanging behind the velvet ropes with all the beautiful people, a little backstage pass at Supertubos is just going to have to scratch the itch for now.
