All Your Favorite Surfers In One Stunning Showreel

Most filmers never get exclusive access to the world’s best surfing talent, so they settle for B and C-grade dudes who, despite being great surfers, don’t provide quite the same mass appeal as a John, Kelly, or Dane. 

But Talon Clemow is not most filmers.

Over the past few years, Clemow (of One Palm Media) has been fortunate enough to work with the true lions of fiberglass and foam. In addition to those listed above (John, Kelly, Dane), Clemow has also filmed extensively with Craig Anderson, Stephanie Gilmore, and Dusty Payne, all of whom can be found in his dazzling 2018 showreel.

Clemow lives with his wife and two little boys on the island of Tasmania, where he balances his time between family, commercial film work, and his passion/side-gig of world-class water cinematography. As seen in the clip above, Clemow’s put in his time at Hawaii, the Marshall Islands, Ireland, and of course at Tasmania’s notorious staircase Shipstern’s Bluff. 

“Time management is the key,” Clemow tells us, “and my wife is always there to support me in everything I do. She’s my unsung hero for sure!”

“I think I’m most inspired by commitment these days. Anyone that really makes the decision to commit to what they’re passionate about and follow it through with hard work and dedication–I can really draw inspiration from them and apply it to my own life. No matter the field that they’re in, whether it’s surfing, business or whatever… it’s universal and connects on a human level.”
