Watch: Craig Anderson, Dane Reynolds And More Star In…A Paul McCartney Music Video?
Ah, the universal allure of surfing.
Only true music fans know the name Paul McCartney.
For the uninitiated, Paul played bass and occasionally sang in a British hair band in the ’60s. You probably wouldn’t know them.
Eventually the band fell apart…something about a girl. In order to stay above the poverty line, Paul had to get creative. He started a Youtube channel and became something of a sensation amongst the dentured community, earning 999k followers for his viral challenge videos and sandwich vlogs.
While these glutenous ventures paid the bills, Paul’s passion remained in music. To this day, he spends every bagel-born penny recording solo tracks and publishing them alongside loosely related videos, in the hope that he might one day get another shot at the whole music thing. It’s inspiring, really.
Slidin’ (EOB Remix) features three minutes of pure surf fantasia from Dane Reynolds, Craig Anderson, and more. The original was just Craig, but after complaints from the regular-foot community, Paul thought it best to be more inclusive.
Some of these clips you may recognize. That’s because Slidin’ (EOB Remix) was produced by names far more recognizable than Paul McCartney. South Coast cone magnate Tyge Landa shot the clips, and iconic Australian surf filmmaker Jack McCoy pieced ’em together. It’s nice to see such respected surf figures stepping up and helping out the little guy.
