When will Crosby Colapinto land one of these on the CT in 2024?

Watch: 2 Percent Ignites Kindling, Leaves Scorch Marks On Indonesian Peaks

Two goofs + two regs = too many good clips.

If the last Cola Bros post was a warning shot to the CT, this clip is a declaration of intent.

“Resolution” features Crosby Colapinto, Cole Houshmand, Kade Matson and Jett Schilling in what can only be described as dreamy Indonesian wedges and points. All four surfers display varied styles that pair well together throughout the 16-minute thriller.

In addition to solid fundamentals, Crosby has an X factor above the lip that keeps you guessing at what’s coming next. Kade is calculated and refined, hands and arms positioned just so, a walking example of what growing up at Lowers can do for you.

After he went under the knife for back surgery in 2022, Kade didn’t surf for 10 months. Now, he’s qualified for the CT and back to doing his thing.

Jett’s surfing deserves to be celebrated and I think in some ways is under-appreciated. Though he’s the one surfer in this clip who won’t be making his CT debut this year, I think it’s only a matter of time for him. Every bottom turn is spring-loaded, every snap a blister of fast-twitch muscles. He looks like a smaller version of Ryan Callinan.

Jett is locked and spring-loaded.

It’s a markedly different style from Cole’s more drawn-out, power-based assault that won him the 2023 Challenger Series. Pairing the two of them together on back-to-back waves makes for a dynamic and engaging viewing experience.

At 6’3 and 220 pounds, Cole is the same height and 26 pounds heavier than Jordy Smith.

And much in line with the tunes of Smooch, I love the variety of music this group uses. Steppenwolf’s “Magic Carpet Ride” was released 55 years before Travis Scott’s “Hyaena.” There is still hope for Gen Z yet.
