Unseen Footage Of Mick Fanning At A Terrifying Right-Hander

Here at Stab, we consider ourselves gluttonous consumers of any and all things surf. 

Taking into account the sum of all our parts, we’ve probably seen 95% of all noteworthy surf media published in the last 15 years. That’s why it was so surprising when not one of us could recall this session of the now-3x World Chapion Mick Fanning, on a particularly treacherous day in Indo. 

Based on the video quality and Mick’s physical appearance, this clip was clearly filmed 7-15 years ago. However none of us, not even our grizzled Editor in Chief, could remember ever having seen these clips before. 

Are they from an old surf movie? A Ripcurl campaign that never saw the light of day? We couldn’t tell you!

But we’d be elated if one of our astute commenters could reveal the origins of this titillating 60-second clip, or maybe Shagga himself, the filmmaker behind this brilliant series, will pop in and drop some knowledge.
