Torren Martyn Twinning At Bells Is An Edit You’ll Dig
Different boards draw different lines, it’s all about adaptation.
The walls are bigger, the rubber is thicker and the lines are just as pleasing. Since we left the travelling duo, Torren Martyn and photographer pal Ishka Folkwell crossed the border and have been winding their Land Rover Defender around the rugged Victorian coastline. They’re now a long way from the dreamy warm-watered locales we saw in the earlier Lost Track editions, however the South Pacific swell gods have come to the party allowing Torren and his signature Morning Of The Earth twin-fin a larger canvas to work with. Cue water displacement, a few moments under the Bells curtain (yes it was that good), silky high-lines and trimming. As with previous episodes, the Poler Stuff/SurfStitch production features a fine soundtrack, so dial up the volume.
“Funnily South Coast didn’t really feel threatening at all. I’m definitely looking forward to getting to South Australia and surfing those waves but yeah the fish get a whole lot bigger down there… Haha. It will be good to have a mate in the water.”
“You could be gone forever… When you’re out of reception and camping it’s weird how you lose track of how long you’ve been gone. Then you get back to civilisation and want to bail straight away. It’s healthy living.”
