An Ideal Blend Of Surfing And Editing
Tomas Hermes found the magic ratio.
I watch a ton of surf clips. So many, in fact, they sometimes blend into one indistinguishable surf smoothie. Make no mistake; this is still a desk job, but with surfing instead of spreadsheets. The best way to grab my attention: Open with a big turn (see example above). Do a few more, and you’ll have me hooked.
Tomas Hermes knows how to surf well, plus he has the editing skills to back it up. Presentation is key when differentiating your product from others. Tomas’s self-edited clip ‘ADUBO’ has a noticeably artistic flare to it. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the clip at 3:30. Is it a flashlight or did he find a way to harvest sunlight?
The surfing is solid, and the editing is perfect. Just enough artistic expression, but not overcooked. Well done, Tomas.
