This Major Surfboard Brand Has Never Won Stab In The Dark
…but they’ve finalled damn near every time.
We have produced five Stab in the Darks to date.
Julian in WA; Dane in ZAF; Jordy in Indo; Mick in Japan; and Dane, Jordy, and Mick in ZAF.
The winners of those blind board tests were, respectively: DHD, Pyzel, Pyzel, Channel Islands, and …Lost/Mayhem.
They say no one remembers second place, or third for that matter, but if there was an award for the most consistently-high placing brand across all five SITDs, it’d undoubtedly be JS Surfboards.
And in truth, that means a hell of a lot more than walking away with any single victory. Because whe buying a new board, you’re looking for something you can trust. For consistency. And in five years, JS is the only brand who’s yet to produce a plug.
See above for JS’s best moments from five years of SITD.
