This is what it’s like to surf Shipsterns
Tasmania has over 2000km of walking tracks. All those postcard rugged headlands, crisp, clean air, rolling, green hills, and all the beauty that becomes appealing when you’re over 50 years of age. Until then, there are only two things worth talking about: the Mona museum and Shipsterns Bluff. This clip here by local surfer, Mikey Brennan, illustrates the difficulty and small success of creating a narrative with a POV camera. But, you get the feel of what a day at Shippies might look like. And, how dwarfed the barrel appears looking out, making Shippies look spectacularly fun. But it’s still the biggest, and most consistent paddle tube in the world.
