The Pick-Up: A Gabby + Caio Love Story, Mike Ho Steals a Surfboard, And Steph Gilmore Waxes Existential

The final (and longest) episode of our Hawaiian web show.

It’s been a loooong six weeks on Oahu’s North Shore, but we can say with confidence that we’ve covered every last inch of the 11 kilometer strip (and beyond) while producing our twice-weekly web show, The Pick-Up.

In our twelfth and final episode, we’re joined in the (recently demo’d, RIP) cotton candy room by 2017 Vans Triple Crown winner Griffin Colapinto and 2019 Rookie of the year, Seth Moniz. With direct access via the Billabong house, the two CTers share seldomly known stories and insights about our recently minted World Champ, Italo Ferreira.

We also steal a modern-retro Rocket board from Mike Ho, who stole the board from Mason Ho, and did absolute our best not to ding it (how nice is Mike, forreal?).

Seven-time World Champ Steph Gilmore joins us to answer some existential questions, and we learned which groms’ balls have (or haven’t) dropped this North Shore season.

There’s also a detailed and frantic breakdown of Pipe’s final day by our own Italo impersonator.

Now, let’s all kindly disperse so the locals can start their true winter season. Until next year, Hawaii.
