The Obscure Case Of The Two-Plus-None
Jack Coleman turns his lens on semi-finless stylist Kyle Kennelly
While we’re as likely as anyone to get swindled into drinking some pretty strange Kool-Aid, we’ve only dipped our pinkies in the whole Friction-Free punch bowl, tasted it’s strange, slippery sweetness on our tongues. Meanwhile, Kyle Kennelly—of Three Slobs fame, alongside Andrew Doheny and Ford Archbold—has been drinking deeply, adding a double spike to the finless cocktail.
While living in San Francisco, working for John McCambridge at Mollusk, Kyle could be seen skating across proper Ocean Beach bombs on a Greg Liddle hull, sans center fin, holding on by the tips of his sidebites as he raced across bumpy, solid faces.
In the clip above, Jack Coleman let’s Kyle—who you can chat with yourself, on the reg, at his lovely Daydream Surf Shop—wax on about flying semi-finless, and we’ll admit KK makes it looked damned fun.
