Shane Dorian Is Live On The Joe Rogan Podcast

After Slater’s recent success on The Joe Rogan Experience, surfing’s second-favorite bald man figured he’d give it a swing. Watch live, now!

Dorian’s been on the Joe Rogan podcast before.

Which makes sense, as the two share many things in common: strong personalities, hunting, and, frankly, their faces!

Throughout this episode, which is still running live at time of print, Shane and Joe discuss myriad topics. For example:

Shane on the Momentum Generation: We were all traveling around the world together trying to win a World Title – we were like this nucleus of surfers, and we all just became ultra-close. But then when things got really serious with the surfing competition and there was a lot on the line as far as sponsors and money, the shit hit the fan and we started breaking up. It got too serious. It was almost like a band – we just couldn’t stand each other anymore, or things got too radical. Girls got in the way, money got in the way, so there was just this breaking up element about our whole group.

Shane on golf: Surfing’s not like golf, where you have to get better all the time. If you’re a golfer, and your average score is 82, and somebody tells you, “If you buy this putter for $1,000, your average score is gonna be 80,” you’re gonna buy that in a second, because shaving two strokes off means the world to you. Nobody in surfing gives a shit if they get slightly better. They just care about waking up at the crack of dawn, checking the winds, tides, and swell, then going surfing with their buddies and having fun. Then you get some breakfast tacos and go to work. That’s the lifestyle. That’s why people do it.
