Watch: Shane Dorian and Benjamin Sanchis in Ireland

This month, Shane Dorian and Benjamin Sanchis hit County Clare for an Irish tube-fest. One of them’s got some Irish heritage, the other not so much. Regardless, they both fit into the heavy lineups perfectly. “My first wave in Ireland will be tough to forget,” remembers Shane. “I paddled into the lineup and met all the local lads who had the place wired. A big double up appeared and the fellas yelled at me to go, and that one first wave made my whole trip more than worth while. That whole ‘luck of the Irish’ thing is no joke!” With Shane at the helm in an Emerald slab, it’s hard to imagine luck has anything to do with it. But, modesty is pretty on anyone.
