Raw: The Biggest, Best Wedge We’ve Seen In Some Time

It’s official: south swell season is here.
How do we know? Well, the sky is gray in Southern California and old guys are dusting off the 7’6s they wouldn’t dare touch in the winter. Also, the Lowers, Malibu, and Wedge cams are kinda firing.
Speaking of that dirty old Wedge, Orange County’s most prolific surf vlogger, Beefs TV, recently filmed a morning session at Newport’s south end. The Wedge was large and in shockingly good form, breaking off the beach and hollow enough for surfers to enter and occasionally even exit the tube.
Wardo was out on a too-small board, and Kalani Robb picked off the smallest waves of the day. The boogers went bonkers on the main peak and few brave souls slid in the backdoor. All things considered, it’s one of the biggest, best Wedge days we’ve seen in some time, so we wanted to share it with you.
