Pipeline And Suicide Lizards In April With Koa Rothman
Episode one of his DIY VLOG ‘This is Livin'”
Koa Rothman’s a good man. Soft-spoken, humble and charges like a mad dog, in recent years we’ve come to know him due to his aplomb at Pipeline and the outer reefs, as well as his deeply rooted North Shore family. Other than that, the young man is relatively enigmatic, happy to let his surfing talk for him.
Until now.
Koa just launched his own “travel feature” on YouTube. Calling it “This Is Livin,” he wants to show you “want goes into the actual making of a surf trip.” It’s a little bit raw. A little bit country. A little bit rock and roll. Koa’s bringing his audience to the frontlines and behind the scenes on his adventures this year.
The first instalment doesn’t stray far from home. Koa kicks things off with an April swell at Pipe with the boys. Post Pipe sesh, it’s back to island time.
“I’m gonna go grab a coconut at my dad’s and go check V-Land,” he tells Koa Smith.
From there it’s a glimpse at late-season island life.
