14 minutes can suck the air out of our shrivelling attention spans. The mass produced is growing shorter, dumbed down, hypnotic and repetitive; see: Trap music, radio-edits or 60-second Instagram videos. The just for web-film, in this modern age, however, still is a tangible thing. Over the past two years, Oliver Kurtz has been working towards the clip that lies above, entitled “Aftermath”, a quasi-sequel to “Serotonin” by filmmaker, Sean Benik. Between the shifting soundtrack, quick cuts to the female form and assemblage of rail, wide spaces and leaps, Oliver Kurtz is the settling dust of a far off explosion.
