Mikey Feb Guides His Twin Pin Through Spotless Indonesian Glass
A vigorous yet poetic display of aquatic dance.
If your significant other frowns upon surprise additions to the quiver, be sure to clear your search history tonight. There’s a strong chance you’ll be doing a bit of digital window shopping after watching this video.
The Channel Islands Twin Pin outline alone was enough to wrangle our eyeballs, but slapping Mikey Feb on top of it is like waiving filet mignon in front of a pit bull. Under the feet of Mr. February, the board handles everything from lax soul arches to ironclad gouges on the face.
Mikey and Britt Merricks’s overall goal with the board was to bridge the gap between a high-performance shortboard and a flotation device with two fins. While numerous shaper/surfer duos have attempted to find the best of both worlds, few have produced an efficient end product like the one above.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: the best part of Mikey Feb’s surfing is the imposing amount of torque he generates. The seamless style is just a gratuity.
