Metal Neck crew ‘Piss Through Australia’
Last month, along with our staff photog and fellow Newport Beach resident, Tom Carey, the Metal Neck crew had descended on Australia for a 14-day tour of the East Coast. With a rented RV full of booze, Metal Jimmy was truly at the peak of his existence, and shared a bunch of good times, and kinda average waves, with Andrew ‘Droid’ Doheny and Beau Foster. Being his first time out of the States in 13 years, Jimmy spends the first half of the clip trying to pronounce ‘Australia’, followed by some real entertaining surfing. And, let’s also discuss the surfing of Andrew Doheny while we’re here. Along with Mason Ho, guys like Droid typify the modern-day un-coached surfer. They’re loose, unpolished and easy on the eye. Sure, some rails bog from time-to-time but you really want to see another perfectly executed air reverse?
