Jack Freestone Has Always Been Good At Tubes And Spins
Recommended archival viewing with (pre dad) Mr Free and friends.
Thanks to the lightning fast pace at which the internet moves, it’s easy to under-appreciate anyone who hasn’t dropped an edit in the last two weeks (probably less).
Timeliness doesn’t always equal quality and because of this, we’re going to justify sharing the above twenty minutes featuring semi-old, but no less riveting, Jack Freestone footage from the archives of Surfing.
Jack surfed/surfs so incredibly well at home and abroad, and with the edit, ‘Low Profile’, being tastefully cut by Sean Benik, it more than warrants additional airtime.
As a bonus to reliving Jack’s pre-fatherhood talent, you’ll spot his Queensland pals, Mitch Crews, Mitch Coleborn and Tai Graham. Coleborn throws his weight around with conviction and Mitch Crews proves he is still an awful dancer/one of surfing’s most likeable railworkers. Tai simply disappears within a handful of throaty right handers.
Hit rewind, ah, play above.
