How Do You Make a Colapinto?
Equal parts meat, potatoes, and Mediterranean spice!
How do you introduce two of America’s greatest CT hopefuls, who also happen to be brothers? Just like that. Griff and Crosby Colapinto, both teenagers from California’s town of almost-world-champion surfers (I see you Greg Long, but I’m talking CT!), have been blowing up of late. While Griffin, 19, sits at number five on the QS, his brother Crosby, 16, who’s potentially taller than Griffin, is the two-time defending U.S. Under-16 Champ. Earlier this month, both brothers missed a wildcard to the Lowers Hurley Pro by one spot, and by the looks of the surfing in this video, that’s a damn shame. Both Griff and Cros seem to have the meat-n-potatoes surfing that CT judges love, with just enough spice to make them regulars on the highlight reel. It’s as if Frederico Morais and Julian Wilson had two handsome, very talented babies!
