Favorites, we all have them.

Preferential treatment is one of the cornerstones of humanity. It’s why brands exist and the trolley problem involves more than simple arithmetic. 

So could it be argued that Ian Crane receives a disproportionate amount of airtime on stabmagdotcom compared to other, similarly talented surfers? Of course, but we love Crane both for his charm and his backside alleyoop (fight me, skaters), so he’ll continue to be showcased regularly on our channels until hell freezes over or the contagion exterminates all of humanity, whichever comes first.

Reinforcing our position is Matt Biolos’ claim that Ian is the “best freesurfer in America”. Granted, Matt may be partial in this particular case, as Crane has ridden …Lost boards exclusively since he was like 10, but hey, capitalism is also a cornerstone of humanity.
