Last time the Eddie was called on and off Albee waited for Jaws. In the afternoon the swell filled in. He made it out to his home break and ended up taking the beating of his life. It sent him to the hospital with a bruised vertebrae and he was confined to a neck brace for a few days afterwards. Yesterday, when the Eddie did run, Albee waited for Jaws. He took off deep behind the bowl on this one, barely slid beneath the anvil lip, disappeared long enough to except defeat and comes out unscathed. This may not be the biggest Pe’ahi tunnel we’ve ever seen (and it’s pretty damn big) but it’s surely one of the deepest and most technical. Looks like Mr Layer’s healed up fine.
