Watch Now: Brazil’s New Wave Pool Gets Torn, Wonderfully, To Pieces

The Wavegarden Cove in Praia da Grama, Brazil will open on July 1, 2021. The lagoon sits in the center of a private residential complex and, as wave pools tend to do, it produces perfect sets on command.

Praia da Gama also features an updated air-section, thanks to an artificial reef anchored to the pool floor. The edit above shows some of the first runs at the new tub, which seems to produce just about any kind of water-based wall one could imagine.

The already untouchable small wave proficiency of Brazilian surfers just got an upgrade. I can’t wait to see what kind of airborne madness the storm brews from the comfort of their own home.
