As an east coast surfer, Lucas Rogers represents everything we hold dear.

While his surfing lacks the eye-pleasing nature of, say, Ben Bourgeois, Lucas makes up for it by stuffing himself in anything remotely resembling a tube, hucking aggressively off the most horrifying sections, and approaching the ocean with a general absence of fear. 

As any east coaster will attest to, Lucas is a standout no matter the conditions, which makes his performance at this Panamanian beachie impressive but, for those who know him, ultimately unsurprising.
