Coming Soon: Nic Von Rupp’s My Road Series

My Road is a series from Nic Von Rupp, an informal surf documentary that’s as good as web content gets in 2014. The last series was excellent and this one promises to be better. We’ll ride shotgun with Nic for four episodes, chasing swell across the globe and digging on cameos from gents like Albee Layer, Frederico Morais, Vasco Ribeiro, Yadin Nicol and more. It’s more than just surf porn, too. “It’s not really a full action clip, it’s more of an informal surf documentary talking stories with some of this year’s best sessions in the mix,” Nic told Stab. “I started going on some missions with my filmer Gustavo and I did my part and he did his… (laughs). When you are out there in the desert or the cold North chasing swells, you come across some pretty interesting situations and people. In our eyes, an action clip didn’t justify what was going on. So I guess we want to shot a bit of what’s going on in the background when we travel. It’s one city, two islands, three deserts and four cliffs. The best surf was in Ireland or the Canaries.” Keep an eye peeled for episode one, dropping december.
