Chippa Wilson Caught In A “Transitional” Moment
“You don’t have to be filthy rich as long as you’re having fun.”
Unshackled after a six-year relationship, Chippa reckons he’s got five more good years to throw at surfing. Thankful to his parents and appreciative of his collection of old things, including tattoos and vehicles. In “Transitional,” he is caught in an evolutionary moment.
Pensive about the past, unsure of the future, like an inked up, air-popping Jack Kerouac he wanders the streets of New York, soaking in the scene, riding the subway, shooting games of stick in a dark, back-alley bar.
“Success for me is, like, being able to do what you love and make a little bit of money from it to be able to live that success,” cops Chippa. “You don’t have to be filthy rich as long as you’re having fun and doing what you like doing.”
Wherever he’s heading next, at the moment, Chippa’s in a New York state of mind.
