Carissa Moore is the Queen of the Coast
International Women’s Day was yesterday. We didn’t do anything to honour it. Neither intentionally or not. But it does seem there’re a lot of holidays around recently that serve as another way to draw attention to yourself on Instagram. Not knocking Women’s day, that goes way back. It was first declared a National Holiday in 1917 in the Soviet Union and has a rich history of political and human rights. But yesterday, in America it was also Be Nasty Day. Whatever that entails sounds, umm gross? Fun? A bit of both? And today, in the States is Panic Day. But between Death to America chants, Donald Trump and the state of tap water, anytime’s fit to panic in the US. All that aside, here’s Carissa Moore and the majesty of Rincon’s walls. The three time Queen of the WSL takes to the Queen of the Coast like she’s stolen her crown. No female surfer moves water quite the way Riss does. Styling whips and hard carves is what Rincon was made for and by the looks of this, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a four-peat come December.
