Bruce Irons On QS Grinding, Staying Relevant And Going Back To Blonde
Non sugar-coated words on the Occ-Cast.
Right on cue, Mr Mark ‘Occy’ Occhilupo has just bumped out his fortnightly Occ-Cast episode, with Bruce Irons joining the growing list of surf celebs to open up on his candid interview program. As you’d expect Bruce has no problem telling it straight, as he says, “no one likes the sugar-coated” – and this is why we love him. He and Occ go way back, to the days when Mark was at the pinnacle of competitive surfing, encouraging young Bruce to join him on the tour, which four years later, he did. Anyway, the pair discuss brother Andy, his upcoming documentary, playing the QS game, the “psychological warfare” of trying to get your kids to surf, lady friends and wanting to stay relevant. Occy also drops a little mention of Joel Parkinson’s potential last year of CT surfing. Swing in for some of that Irons spirit.
