Ashley Osborne is Strawberries and Cream!

From Stab issue 76… The seasonal switch has been flicked and in the northern hemisphere summer’s wreckage clears, while in the world’s south the ghost of winter weakens. Can you not feel? As the warmth of summer tunes up via the stubbornness of spring in Australia, dermis increasingly winks at the sky on beaches. Nowhere is this more crystallised than Sydney’s Bondi Beach, and it is within close proximity to this beach that Miss Ashley Osborne rents an apartment with her man, the world famous surfer, Julian Wilson. Ash and Jules are a natural phenomenon, a perfect, otherworldly pairing whose presence belongs on any vessel built to survive an apocalyptic event and rebuild the Human race in a magnificently brave new world. They are beautiful, and they are in love. To celebrate summer in the deep south, and a woman whose presence embodies this cluster of months, Stab has spilt the pages of this issue with her depiction, captured by Kane Skennar in Byron Bay. You will also find her sentiments on what it means to be in love with a professional surfer, and accompany him to world tour events. Ash coloured us 10 semi-iron-clad rules of living this life. At this point we must remind that Ash’s life is not simply to float on the wing of Julian; She has a career of her own making beautiful clothes look even more beautiful for a camera. Ash is in the biz of selling dreams. But her role in Julian’s life is crucial, too; she is at once a coach and a support network and a cushion and a cheer squad and a necessary distraction. And more. “I’ll try distract Julian when the time is right,” she tells us. “Take his mind off things a little and help him enjoy being at locations. It’s a nice role to play!” Read her guide to life as a pro surfer’s girlfriend, coming soon to Stab. (Video by Mikey Mallalieu)
