Shane Dorian and pals have rendered tow surfing irrelevant for the most part. But there are still conditions that call for a rope, like Chopes over 15 feet, and in the case of the above clip, Jaws when it looks like this (aka the black death). Perhaps you’ve already heard that there’s a Point Break 2 being filmed. During a recent Peahi swell, the choppers swooped and it was lights-cams-actions for Ian Walsh, Billy Kemper, Laird Hamilton and more, who rode waves as stunt men and are coming soon to a cinema near you as the character of Bodhi. Who we totally thought died at the end of Point Break. Maybe we can expect a prequel?
