Who Will Be The WSL’s Next CEO?
We’ve got an unofficial shortlist.
Today, the WSL announced its new head judge — a Brazilian gent named Luli Pereira. While arousing, this will not be the League’s biggest roster change before the end of the year.
If you’ve been even remotely aware of professional surf happenings this year, you know that the WSL’s former CEO, Erik Logan, was briskly removed from his post in late June, in the middle of a week-long run of lay days at the Saquarema CT. Since Elo’s departure, the role has been temporarily filled by both Emily Hofer (Chief People & Purpose Officer) and Bob Kane (COO).
The League has made it clear that they hope to find a permanent replacement for CEO. With this year’s world champions already crowned and the Challenger Series about to conclude, it makes sense that the WSL would announce their new leader soon — or at least prior to the start of the 2024 season.
So who’s it gonna be?
