Yet Another Shark Attack in Sydney
Man battling for survival after three attacks in just over 24 hours.
A man was dragged from the water around 6:20pm this evening at North Steyne Beach in Manly, just 5km south of Dee Why, where a kid’s board lost a rail to a shark earlier today.
The man, bitten through the leg, reportedly required CPR on the sand, according to news.com.au.
This marks the third shark-related incident in just over 24 hours: an 11-year-old at Dee Why this morning, and a 12-year-old in the harbour yesterday evening, still in intensive care at Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick.
The man’s condition is critical. That’s about all we know for now.
Given the rain pounding Sydney lately and the sharks’ apparent appetite for human flesh, you’d be wise to give the water a wide berth for the time being.
