Yesterday in the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast, we got to see some new and some familiar faces for 2013 in the Carlton Dry Expression Session. Kolohe Andino looked solid and more comfortable after a bumpy rookie year. John Florence got out there and revealed his new sticker to the first world tour event of the year. Rookies Filipe Toledo and Sebastian “Seabass” Zietz looked like they may be ready to win some heats in the big leagues. And, of course, Kelly opened yet another year on tour looking razor sharp. While his airs yesterday didn’t pack the same finesse as the teens (but honestly, do we need to see any more air reverses?), his rail work in the pocket is still the best in the game.
The women are on today, which you can go watch over here.
