X Games: Real Surf

At present, X-Games are running a competition called Real Surf. Eight surfers were invited to throw down, including Matt Meola, Josh Kerr, Jordy Smith, Kelly Slater, Gabriel Medina, Chippa Wilson, Dion Agius and Albee Layer. The format is this: Each surfer creates a 90-second video part, which is matched against another surfer’s video part in a heat. Medals are awarded by a panel of X Games judges, but the Fan Favourite is decided by public vote. Win a heat, move through to the next round. Round one results? Kelly beat Chippa, Gabs beat Matt, Jordy beat Albee and Josh beat Dion. Now, Kelly faces Gabs and Jordy and Josh are matched. Ain’t the format just so engaging? Watch em and go vote.
