Wave Garden 2.0
Deep in the Basque Country there’s a revolution goin’ on. We’ve not heard a ton from the Wave Garden in some time, and that’s no accident. The team keep tight-lipped about their progress and prefer to unleash bombshells in one big hit. Like, this: Wave Garden 2.0 is here. In typically-coy Wave Garden style, we’re only treated to a 40-second teaser (with the full clip to drop soon). But, what can we learn from this teaser? Most noticeably, Dane Reynolds saying this: “The Speed is perfect,” Gabriel Medina saying this: “It’s fun for everyone,” and Craig Anderson saying this: “I definitely think it’s functional.” One thing that ever surfer invited to try out 2.0 could agree on is that it’s “FUN”. And that includes Gabs, Dane, Craig, Taj Burrow, Pauline Ado, Jeremy Flores, Dooma Fahrenfort and Aritz Aranburu. And secondly, as promised, the wave does appear a little bigger than the first machine. Though, it is hard to tell from the brief Jadson Andre/Gabriel Medina shared wave we’re treated to in this glimpse. And, the setup seems to have a new addition – the structure in between the peaks (more info on that soon). Stay tuned for a more in-depth rundown of Wave Garden 2.0, coming soon.
