War(d) Stories: The Tour

This is absolutely worth 26 minutes of your time. The Tour instalment of War(d) stories is something of a mini-documentary. Opening with an interview with Andy Irons about Chris (“I rode for MCD just so I could hang out with guys like Wardo”), and including some real good file footage of Wardo’s tour efforts (narrated by Dave Stansfield), as well as interviews with Kelly Slater and many others, this is as insightful and informative a clip as you’ve seen in a long time. “He’s the Opposite of the guys who try really hard. He’s also the Opposite of the guys who try really hard not to try. This episode is a must-see for any surfer seriously considering a competitive career.”
