VonZipper x Stab Poolside Party

The VonZipper x Stab Poolside party went down yesterday. Set-up the day prior was under a smiling sun and high morale. Sunday morning looked ominous. Clouds gathered, droplets of rain fell, etc. But the bars were stocked, the mansion was polished and morale remained high. And a little precipitation did nothing to deter the party people. Parties usually take an hour or two to get going, but Poolside bumped from the start. A coupla bands kicked off. Their spot on the highest balcony served as a good vantage point for projecting sound out over the spread. Following the last group’s final song, the music wandered out onto a hip-hop tip, which suited everyone just fine. Below the highest balcony was a bar and the pool. It was a deep pool, and bluer than most. And it was 30 degrees. Below the pool was a tennis court, covered in bean chairs and umbrellas. The sheet of plastic that usually acts as a pool-cover was hung from a balcony down over the tennis court, acting instead as a people-cover from the intermittent spitting of rain. And still none were deterred. Bondi Beach Burritos floated around on plates. Cherry-coloured alcohol was squirted into people’s mouths by a party liaison in a Hawaiian shirt. The diving board creaked when swimmers bounced from it. People danced and kissed. Neighbours stared in fear and wonderment from their windows. And though our furious readers will tell you otherwise, the neighbours weren’t alone as they thought to themselves, “Who the hell are all of these crazy people? What the hell is going on here? And how the fuck do I get an invite?” All photos by LifeWithoutAndy.com See more at LifeWithoutAndy.
